An incident of driving under the influence was reported Thursday when officers stopped a vehicle after it was observed bouncing off the curb as it traveled down the road. The operator, an 18-year-old Wilcox woman, was found to be intoxicated. Charges are currently pending.
A hit-and-run accident was reported Thursday at the five-way along North Franklin Street, where an operator fled the scene of a two-vehicle accident. A passenger in the vehicle that was struck was transported for medical treatment. Officers have a suspect.
A hit-and-run accident was reported Friday in the first block of Quarry Avenue, where a 21-year-old DuBois man drove a vehicle into the dumpster near the Nelson House. He fled the scene but was located and determined to be under the influence. Charges will be filed.
