Joan L. Kolash, Age 76 of Deer Lane, DuBois, PA died Aug. 25, 2011 at her residence.
Born on July 5, 1935 in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Donald & Muriel (Lawhead) Nelson.
On Sept. 18, 1954, she married Joseph N. Kolash, Jr. He preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 2010.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, gambling, and painting crafts.
She is survived by her children: Mr. Joseph D. Kolash of Lancaster, PA, Mr. Richard M. Kolash and his wife, Sheri of DuBois, PA, Mr. Andrew J. Kolash of DuBois, PA, twin daughters, Mrs. Jeffrey (Susan) Hetrick of Weedville, PA and Mrs. Keith (Sherri) Smith, Jr. of Luthersburg, PA and Mrs. Joseph (Dianne) LaBenne of DuBois, PA., 2 sisters (Joyce Kaizer and her husband Bill of DuBois, PA and Dorothy Fairman and her husband Bob of DuBois, PA) 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 sister( Donna Quarando).
Visitation will be held on Aug. 28 from 2-6 p.m. at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc.
A scriptural wake service will be conducted on Sunday afternoon at 1:45 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
