CLEARFIELD – On Friday PennDOT will lift the closure and detour currently in place along state Route 1009 in Morris Township near the village of Hawk Run.
PennDOT will open the new Hawk Run Bridge to traffic sometime between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Friday. Once the new bridge is open, the three mile detour will be lifted.
The new bridge is a box culvert worth a half-million dollars. The contractor on the project was Francis J. Palo of Clarion. Work included box culvert placement, guiderail work, drainage, minor roadway re-alignment and approach paving.
PennDOT wishes to thank drivers for their patience during this closure and detour.
