A 25-year-old La Jose man was stopped for a traffic violation and subsequently arrested for driving under the influence at 2:07 a.m. Saturday along state Route 119 in Sandy Township.
Members of the DuBois, Punxsutawney and Clearfield-based state police stations conducted a sobriety checkpoint from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Friday along U.S. Route 322 in Winslow Township. The initiated resulted in two driving under the influence arrests, in addition to one driving under suspension citation, seven other citations and eight written warnings. A total of 65 vehicles were contacted during the checkpoint.
A vehicle driven by a 61-year-old Reynoldsville man was encountered during a sobriety checkpoint at 12:10 a.m. Saturday along U.S. Route 322 near the Sykesville – Reynoldsville Road in Winslow Township. The man was found under the influence of alcohol and taken for legal blood testing. He was charged with DUI and careless driving through the district court.
