A single-vehicle accident was reported at approximately 11:10 a.m. Wednesday along state Route 504 near Six Mile Run Road in Rush Township, Centre County. A 27-year-old Osceola Mills woman was traveling westbound when she failed to negotiate a left curve and exited the north berm. She overcorrected and reentered the roadway, crossing both lanes of travel and exited the south berm, sliding sideways. Her vehicle then overturned down an embankment and came to a fine rest on its roof. The woman left the scene prior to police arrival for unknown reasons and by unknown means. It’s unknown if she sustained any injuries in the accident. Her vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
An incident of theft from a motor vehicle reportedly occurred sometime between 9 a.m. July 22 and 12 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of 11th Street in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A person(s) entered a 33-year-old Philipsburg woman’s black Ford Focus and removed approximately 100 CDs and some change before fleeing the scene.
