CLEARFIELD – Jim’s Sports Center, a Clearfield baseball team of 13-and-14-year-olds who played a schedule that included Central Penn Teener League opponents, will be one of four contenders for the VFW Teener Area 6 Tournament championship.

The double round-robin tourney begins Monday with Clearfield visiting Punxsutawney and Curwensville entertaining Philipsburg and runs through July 22.
Â
Area 6 will have two qualifiers for the state tournament July 29-August 1 because Punxsutawney is the host and is guaranteed a berth.

Jim’s has a 10-6 record and is coached by Sid Lansberry, Ed Yeager, Chris Peacock, Brandon Billotte and Thomas Yeager.
