CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Babe Ruth League 14-Year-Old All-Stars received a first-round bye for the District 8 Tournament at State College and will play their opener Saturday at noon at the Airport Field.

Their opponent for the winner’s bracket semifinal game will be Altoona or State College.
Â
Those two teams meet Friday at 5:30 p.m. while West End of Williamsport and Potter/McKean are playing on the Spectrum Field.
Â
Keystone (Lock Haven) also has a bye Friday.
Â
Clearfield won’t play again until Sunday at 1 p.m. if it wins its first game. A loss means another game Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

The double-elimination tournament continues through Monday, with the champion advancing to the state tourney at Stroudsburg the third week in July.Â
