CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County DUI Strike Force will be conducting driving under the influence checkpoints, roving patrols and the Cops in Shops program looking for people driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances and for underage drinking ad adults serving alcohol to minors.
These checkpoints and roving patrols are a continuing effort by law enforcement to bring awareness of impaired driving and the serious problems it can cause. Also, officers will be working with local establishments looking for minors attempting to purchase alcohol and adults who are furnishing alcohol.
It is the Strike Force’s goal to reduce the number of injuries and deaths caused by intoxicated drivers in Clearfield County. Motorists who encounter a checkpoint should expect minimal delay if they are not driving while impaired.
In addition, police will be checking for and issuing citations for seat belt violations and aggressive driving.
