Donald Freeman “Donnie” Hess II, 44 of Clearfield Passed away June 13, 2011 at Scranton, PA
He was born May 13, 1967 in Clearfield, he was the son of Donald F. Hess, Sr. of Hyde and Carol J. (McCreadie) Hess of Clearfield.
Mr. Hess graduated from Curwensville Area High School and he also attended Vo-tech for masonry, and Powder Metal’s and also the CDL truck driver classes.
He worked in construction for a few years, and with Terra Excavating, Krebs’ Moving and Storage, Gill’s Towing, Lezzers’ Lumber of DuBois then transferred to Curwensville Lezzer s’ Lumber Company and currently worked with Baker Hughes Gas Well Company.
Mr. Hess loved to hang out with his family and friends, also liked to go fishing, hunting, and have a fire in the pit in the back yard.
Mr. Hess is survived by his wife, Tricia Kay (Snyder) Hess for 23 years of Clearfield a daughter, Alicia Ann-Marie Hess a son Donald Freeman Hess III both of Clearfield, a brother, James “Jim” Hess and his wife Jen of Harrisonburg, VA, two step brothers: Shane Ebersole and his wife Sue of West Decatur, Jason “Jake” Ebersole of Hyde, one step sister; Mindy Barrett and her husband Tom of Ford City, Pa, his step mother, Donna Hess of Hyde, father-in-law, Thomas (Tom) Snyder, Sr., brother-in-law Thomas (Bub) Snyder, Jr., Terry Snyder and his wife Erin, sister in-laws, Teresa (Sissy) McCracken and husband Alan, Tina Gavlock and her husband Marty, and Tonya Coble and also survived by five nieces, six nephews, three step nephews, one great nephew, two great nieces and numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents William (Bill) and Sylvia Hess, Russell and Beatrice McCreadie, his step-father, Bob Gill and his mother-in-law Sandra Snyder.
Funeral services will be held on June 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Rev. John Croft officiating. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on June 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on June 21 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the services.
