Ray M. Starr, 63 of Kerr Addition died on June 10, 2011 at his residence.
He was born on May 18, 1948 in Clearfield, a son of the late Albert J. and Marion (Manahan) Starr.
Mr. Starr was employed by Martell Glass for many years. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing and discussing politics. He served in the US Marines during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by two children, Shawn C. Starr and Jennifer R. Starr, both of Clearfield, two grandchildren, Gavin and Kaiah, his former wife, Susan Starr of Clearfield, a sister and brother, Dorothy Fenush and husband Joseph of Grassflat, Albert Starr. Jr. and wife Linda of Clearfield and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mark S. Brower officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Posts’ Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10-11:00 a.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield.
