CLEARFIELD – Monday will see the start of bridge repair work along a portion of U.S. Route 322 in Centre County. The repair work will focus on six bridges both east and westbound along the stretch of U.S. Route 322 between Port Matilda and State College. Work will include repairs to decks and approach slabs. The work is expected to last through the week. Motorists may encounter flaggers and lane closures and slight traffic delays are possible.
Centre County work is first on the repair schedule. Crews will eventually move through Mifflin, Juniata, Clinton, Clearfield, Elk, Cameron, McKean, and Potter counties to perform repairs on eighty-two bridges.
PennDOT will provide updates as the work moves to new locations. Contractor on the $1.4 million project is Swank Associated Companies, Inc. of New Kensington. All repair work across District 2 is expected to end by November 2.
PennDOT reminds drivers to move through all work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits and always buckle-up.
