– Police reported an incident of criminal trespass at 7 p.m. Friday in the Hillcrest Commons in Chester Hill Borough, Clearfield County. A 24-year-old Houtzdale man was charged after he was found to be on the aforementioned property. He was evicted from it, and charges are to be filed through the district court.
– Police reported an incident of theft that occurred between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday at a Gillingham Road residence in Girard Township, Clearfield County. A person(s) removed a 20-year-old Frenchville man’s 2008 Kawasaki KSF450 four-wheeler from his front yard. The four-wheeler is valued at $8,000.
– Police reported an incident of harassment and criminal mischief at approximately 11:25 p.m. Friday along state Route 153 approximately a half-mile south of the State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale in Woodward Township, Clearfield County. A 26-year-old Morrisdale man and a 19-year-old Houtzdale woman were allegedly involved in a verbal argument.
Their argument then escalated and became physical, when the man allegedly grabbed the woman by her throat and threw her to the ground. He also allegedly threw the woman’s cellular phone to the ground, causing damages to it. The man is to be cited for summary assault harassment and criminal mischief through the district court.
– Police reported a motor vehicle accident at 8:40 a.m. Saturday along state Route 53 in Morris Township, Clearfield County. An 18-year-old Allport man was traveling north, when he fell asleep. His 1997 Nissan Sentra crossed the southbound lane and impacted with an embankment. His vehicle went airborne, landing in a yard and sliding a Chevrolet Silverado parked in the driveway.
The pick-up truck was pushed into the garage well directly behind it and also into a 2008 Suzuki SX4 that was parked beside it. At that time, the Allport man’s vehicle rolled across the yard, both lanes and into a grassy section on the eastern side of the southbound lane.
The man was not wearing his seatbelt and sustained moderate injuries. He was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for treatment. He was cited for various state vehicle code violations. His vehicle was towed from the scene.
