Mary Helen Reed, 86, of Hyde died Friday at her home. She is the last member of her generation.
Born on Oct. 14, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Dean A. Reed and Belle (Steaver) Reed Kitchen. She was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Clearfield.
Ms. Reed was retired from owning and operating her own beauty shop in Williamsport. She was also a beautician in Buffalo, NY.
She’s survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Ms. Reed is preceded in death by her parents and six brothers, John, Hobart, Earl, Francis, William and Robert Reed.
Family and friends will be received from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at The Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, Clearfield. An additional viewing will from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Wednesday.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Msgr. H. Desmond McGee Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
