Lock Haven – Despite the cold weather the Clearfield boy’s tennis team opened their season on Wednesday afternoon when they travelled to Lock Haven to face Central Mountain in their first ever Mountain League match.
The Central Mountain Wildcats played rude host as they defeated the Bisons 6-1.
Picking up Clearfield’s win was the doubles team of Ryan Butler and Cory Maines, who defeated Matt Gallagher and Torrin Mauck in a prset tie-breaker 9-7.
The number two doubles team of Garrett Timko and Connor Renaud were beaten 8-1 by Zack Muthler and Brannon Matz.

The Bisons will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Huntingdon for another Mountain League match.
