Stephen J. ‘Pop’ Kitko, 78, of Bloomington died on Feb. 21, 2011 at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on Dec. 24, 1932 in Clearfield, a son of the late Steven and Pearl (Heberling) Kitko.
Mr. Kitko retired from Glen-Gery Brickyard in 1997 after 13 years of employment. Prior to that, he was employed at Harbison Walker Refractory, Clearfield for 34 years. Steve ‘Pop’ was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who enjoyed walking in the woods with his sons. He also loved to feed the outdoor birds and tend to his flowers and garden. He also loved his beloved dog Lily.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy C. ‘Dott’ (Dallen) Kitko, whom he wed Aug. 30, 1952 in Clearfield,

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter Linda Lee Kitko, three grandchildren, Kristy Marie Kitko, Jason Scott and Stephanie Janel Hoover, and a sister and brother, C Pauline Kitko and Allen Kitko.
Funeral services will be held at the Community Baptist Church, Curwensville on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Todd Hogue officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville, RD.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and at church on Thursday from 10-11 a.m.
