Betty A. Folmar, 84, of Philipsburg and formerly of Morrisdale died Sunday at Windy Hill Village.
Born April 13, 1926 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Robert D. and Anna (Erickson) Larson. Mrs. Folmar was a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Folmar was a 1944 graduate of the Cooper Township High School before graduating from the Philipsburg Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. She worked as a private duty nurse and a registered nurse at the former Philipsburg Hospital.
She married William J. Folmar on May 30, 1948 in Grassflat. He preceded her in death Feb. 24, 1994. In addition to her parents and husband, she’s preceded in death by two daughters, Dorothy L. “Dotty” Fleming and Renee Long and one brother, Dr. Thomas Larson.
She’s survived by four sons, Dennis W. Folmar and his wife, Linda of Dayton, OH; the Rev. Barry R. Folmar and his wife, Ann of Morrisdale; Thomas T. Folmar and his wife, Leesa of Grassflat; and Daniel J. Folmar and his wife, Vickie of West Chester.
Also surviving are one sister, Joan Fetter of Morrisdale; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lanse, with the Rev. Carrie Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Grassflat-Lanse Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday at the church.
