CLEARFIELD – The largest indoor wine festival is coming back to Clearfield. The Groundhog Wine Trail Festival will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Clearfield County Fair Grounds.
The festival will be host to Allegheny Cellars Winery, Evergreen Valley Vineyards, Flickerwood Wine Cellars, Foxburg Wine Cellars, Laurel Mountain Winery, Oak Spring Winery, Starr Hill Vineyard and Winery, Windgate Vineyards and Winery and the Winery at Wilcox. Two sessions will be held from 1:00- 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Expo 1 building. Punxsutawney Phil and his handler Clearfield native Ben Hughes will be in attendance along with some of the Inner Circle members.
Advance purchase tickets are available from each winery or by visiting online for $15.00 and will be available at the door the day of the event for $20.00. Proceeds from the festival will be used to support the Community Christmas parade and projects sponsored by the Clearfield Elks.
