PHILIPSBURG – Two local men will face charges for their involvement in a Mini Mart robbery at approximately 11 p.m. Sunday, the Philipsburg-based State Police reported.
According to the report, a 21-year-old Philipsburg man entered the Front Street establishment and displayed a black pistol. Police said he ordered the clerk to “hand over all the money.”
Police said the man also pointed the pistol at another individual, ordering them to leave the Mini Mart store. They said the individual proceeded to leave and contacted 911.
Police said that a 30-year-old West Decatur man remained outside and was the “look out” during the robbery incident.
At arrival, police followed the accused footprints to an East Pine Street address, where they made contact with the two men. He said they received permission to search the apartment and found the clothing worn during the robbery.
Police indicated the accused men subsequently confessed to their involvement. They said both men were transported to the Centre County Jail for arraignment.
