Paul F. Lucus, age 22, was found guilty of indirect criminal contempt, PFA violation, on Wednesday after having a hearing before a judge. Lucas violated the PFA by having contact with the victim, a 31-year-old woman, while she was on Railroad Street in Rush Township. Lucas went to the residence to retrieve some of his belongings and later sent her text messages on her phone.
A 22-year-old man from Philipsburg was cited for retail theft. The male stole $144.61 in items from the Weis Market in Philipsburg Borough.
A 29-year-old man from Bellefonte received minor injuries in an accident on Interstate 99 in Taylor Township, Centre County. The man was traveling north on I-99 and lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered roadway. His vehicle spun off the left side of the roadway and struck the guard rails and a cement bridge abutment. The man was transported by Port Matilda Ambulance to the Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Police investigated a single vehicle accident on US Route 322 near Strawberry Beaver Road in Rush Township. A 31 year old woman from Philipsburg was traveling East when shed lost control of her vehicle. It impacted with the guard rails and struck a sign. Police were assisted at the scene by Verost Towing.
