DUBOIS – DuBois City police on Thursday posted a social media alert for area school parents and residents.
At approximately 10:50 a.m., police received a report from the DuBois Area School police about an incident that happened prior to the start of school.
According to police information, at approximately 7 a.m., a 13-year-old girl was walking along South Church Street to her bus stop located at Knarr Street and Shaffer Avenue.
She was allegedly approached and grabbed by the arm by an unknown Caucasian male wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and boots.
When the male pulled the girl towards him, police say she managed to pull away and run to her bus stop where she informed the other children of what happened.
While they waited for their bus’ arrival, the children observed the male walk by and proceed in an unknown direction. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
