CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners addressed various items of business on Tuesday.
The commissioners:
- approved a right of entry agreement as well as a tower site sublease agreement with Verizon, which plans to place cell phone service on the county’s Coalport area tower site. It was noted that this will significantly improve cell phone service for residents of the southern part of the county, giving them access to both the existing T-Mobile service and then Verizon hopefully by 2025. As part of the agreement, Verizon will also do site cleanup and improvements.
- approved an annual Child Welfare Information System (CWIS) Data-Sharing agreement.
- approved purchase of service agreements with Valliere & Counseling Associates; Adelphoi Village Inc.; and Catherine Surbeck, PH.D., on behalf of the county’s Children, Youth & Family Services Department.
- announced two vacancies on the Clearfield County Solid Waste Authority as well as one vacancy on the Clearfield County Recreation & Tourism Authority. Letters of interest will be accepted through Sept. 20.
- proclaimed September as Suicide Prevention Month in conjunction with the Clearfield Jefferson Veteran Suicide Prevention Initiative.
- approved one new hire, one employee separation/retirement and three employee transfers.
- approved the minutes of the Aug. 27 board meeting as presented.
- approved the bills as presented by the Controller’s office.
