Obituary Notice: Esther H. Maines

Esther H. Maines, 89 of Hawk Run, passed away on Dec. 19, 2010 at her residence

Born on Nov. 23, 1921 at Bradford Township she was the daughter of the late John & Mary (Snyder) Frantz.

On Sept. 7, 1938 in Cumberland, MD, she wed  Blair L. Maines, who died Feb. 15, 1985

Survived by: one daughter & three sons:

Beverly Lobb                                                                          of Hyde

Raymond Maines and his wife Erma                                      of Ramey

Gerald Maines and his wife Mildred                                      of Clearfield

Archie Maines and his wife Ethel                                           of Osceola Mills

Survived by: 23 grandchildren & 21 great-grandchildren.

She was the last of her generation.

She was preceded in death by: parents, husband, an infant son, an infant daughter, sons: Leonard Maines & John Maines, daughter: Esther Bloom, two great-grandchildren, brothers: Howard Frantz & Charles Frantz, and two sisters: Annie Davis & Alice Smith

She formerly attended the Church of God, Wallaceton.

She was a homemaker.

Funeral Services will be held at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, on Dec. 22 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. William R. Walker officiating. 

Burial will be at Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton. 

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Dec. 21 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
