Tami L. Fees hired and sworn-in as Deputy District Attorney
CLEARFIELD – District Attorney Ryan P. Sayers on Thursday announced that Tami L. Fees, Esq. was recently hired and sworn-in as the new deputy district attorney of Clearfield County.
As deputy DA, Fees will be handling a wide array of cases within the District Attorney’s Office with a special focus on child abuse and sexual-related crimes.
She’s a native of Clearfield County. She graduated from West Branch High School and after high school, she completed her undergraduate studies at Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administration of Justice, graduating with high honors.
She then went on to attend Widner University of Law, earning her Juris Doctorate and subsequently passing the bar in 2005.
She has lived throughout the Commonwealth, but returned to Clearfield County in 2015 to start her own private law practice, where she primarily focused on criminal defense.
Fees has also worked as a conflict defense attorney for Centre, Mifflin, Huntingdon and Clearfield counties.
“Tami is a seasoned attorney in criminal law and has handled a multitude of matters in the courtroom,” said Sayers. “While much of her legal career has been primarily as a defense attorney, Tami is ready to use that knowledge and understanding to prosecute criminals in Clearfield County.”
Fees stated that, “I am looking forward to this new opportunity, to working with law enforcement to help the people of Clearfield County, and being part of the team in the District Attorney’s Office.”
