State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report of retail theft Oct. 21 at Dollar General, Bradford Township. According to a station-issued news release, an unknown male entered the store and removed multiple items from shelves. He proceeded to self-checkout and allegedly pretended to render payment but did not and left. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
- State police received a report of theft Oct. 21 on Hill Street, Curwensville. No further information is available at this time.
- State police received a report of theft from a motor vehicle Oct. 21 on Troy Hill Road, Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole several items from the victim’s vehicle, including a black wallet, two debit cards and a credit card, identification and $50 in cash.
- State police received a report of theft Oct. 23 in the area of Logan and Petes roads, Decatur Township. According to a station-issued news release, the victim was driving when her truck cap began to come off. She stopped and placed it along the roadway, but when she returned an hour later, it was gone. The cap is older and navy blue in color with Penn State and military police stickers on the window. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
Clearfield Regional
- Police conducted a warrant service Oct. 21 on South Third Street, Clearfield. According to a department-issued news release, Samantha Brown of Clearfield was located inside her parked vehicle and determined to have active warrants through Clearfield Regional police and the county Sheriff’s office. Brown was subsequently transported to county jail on the warrants.
- Police reported an incident of DUI occurred Oct. 20 on West Front Street, Clearfield. According to a department-issued news release, officers conducted a traffic stop after a vehicle traveled onto the sidewalk near Bridge and North Second streets, then continued traveling and nearly impacted another vehicle on West Front Street. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol, police said, and charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police reported an incident of terroristic threats occurred Oct. 18 at the Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital. According to a department-issued news release, the hospital received a bomb threat by phone. Upon investigation, it was determined to be false; however, officers did remain on-scene to ensure safety and security of the facility.
- Police received a report of a suspicious male Oct. 20 on Nichols Street, Clearfield. According to a department-issued news release, information was received regarding a male who had been sitting at a gas pump for about an hour. It was believed he may be under the influence and in possession of drug paraphernalia. When police made contact with the male, they observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. A search was subsequently conducted and allegedly turned up multiple items of paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
