State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report regarding the alleged statutory rape/sexual assault of a juvenile that occurred between Jan. 1 and Feb. 28 in Cooper Township. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police conducted a traffic stop that resulted in a drug violation June 1 along Wallaceton Road in Morris Township. As a result, a 46-year-old motorcyclist from Kylertown was allegedly found in possession of drugs and paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police reported the alleged theft of vehicle parts June 5 at the Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic in Bradford Township. During the incident, troopers say someone stole a catalytic converter from a vehicle.
- State police received a report of an alleged theft of $560 via a cash app June 20 in Penn Township. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Clearfield Regional
- Police conducted a traffic stop along Route 879 that resulted in a DUI June 24 in Clearfield. During the stop, the male driver—identified as Ronald L. Smith of Frenchville—was allegedly determined to be under the influence of alcohol and incapable of safely operating a vehicle. While he was being placed under arrest, police say Smith began to act disorderly and actively resist officers. He was eventually taken into custody and put in county jail. Smith has been charged with DUI, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
- Police received a report of harassment by communication June 23 in the area of West Pine Street and NW Fourth Avenue in Clearfield. According to a department-issued news release, the caller stated there had been an ongoing dispute with a 42-year-old woman over the interactions of their children. The woman allegedly commented she wanted to kick her (the caller) in the face, as well as threatened to have Children & Youth Services investigate her. Both were advised to cease contact with each other; however, police say the woman attempted to contact the caller 76 minutes later. Charges are currently pending at this time.
