Rose M. Ricotta, 85 of Clearfield died on Nov. 26, 2010 at Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on Nov. 4, 1925 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Panasiti) Lemmo.
Mrs. Ricotta was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
She is survived by two sons:
Joseph M. Ricotta and wife Karen Erie
James S. Ricotta Altoona
Two grandchildren:
Chuck Ricotta and wife Ariel Ann Arbor, MI
Connie Hall and husband Adam Meadville
Two great-granddaughters;
And numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Ricotta on July 12, 2007 and whom she married Sept. 27, 1947 at St. Francis Church, Clearfield, and three sisters Jennie Mendolia, Marie Mitchell and Jo Louise ‘Dolly’ Lindberg Stiles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 1:30-2:00 p.m.
At the funeral home on Monday, a Christian Vigil Service will be held at 1:45 p.m. and the Rosary will be recited at 5:45 p.m.
