Police Report: DuBois PSP

Police reported an incident of simple assault that occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday. Troopers and the Jefferson County Children and Youth Services are investigating a possible child abuse case. An 8-month-old baby boy reportedly suffered a non-life threatening skull fracture. The investigation is ongoing. No further information was provided in the report.
Police reported an incident of burglary that occurred sometime between 6 p.m. Thursday and 6:40 a.m. Friday at the Highway Equipment Company on state Route 219 in Washington Township, Jefferson County. A person(s) allegedly pried open a rear door, entered and burglarized the business. The person(s) removed approximately $255 in cash from the business. The incident is still under investigation.
