COALPORT – The Coalport Center for Active Living re-opened its doors at a new location, 961 Forest St., on March 14.
Numerous community members attended the open house and ribbon cutting at the new location on April 5, and enjoyed refreshments, socialization and a door prize.
This new location within the Coalport Borough Building gives older adults access to a computer room, a Coal Museum and a public library, which includes a children’s library as well.
Intergenerational programming is also planned in conjunction with the adjacent Nursery School. Older adults interested in attending the Center for Active Living are encouraged to do so and should contact Pam at 814-672-3574 with any questions.
Programs and services of the Agency are funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc., Mature Resources Foundation and local and consumer contributions.
