State police at Clearfield
- State police were dispatched to conduct a welfare check March 18 on the Allport Cutoff in Graham Township. Upon arrival, contact was made with an 81-year-old female who had a large bruise on her face. Upon investigation, it was found a 57-year-old Morrisdale man had allegedly slapped the victim multiple times during a domestic the night before, and caused bruising. He was taken into custody when he returned home a short while later, and state police say at that time, he was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana and related paraphernalia. Charges were prepared and the male was taken to county jail to be arraigned.
- State police received a report of theft March 17 on Old Erie Pike in Boggs Township. During the incident, someone allegedly opened a fraudulent bank account in the victim’s name. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report of trespassing March 11 on Frog Hollow Road in Decatur Township. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report of harassment March 10 at the West Branch Area High School. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report of retail theft March 17 at Sheetz in Decatur Township. During the incident, someone allegedly concealed a coffee tumbler and left without paying for it. The investigation is ongoing at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a report of an unconscious male who was lying on the ground near North Fourth Street. Police and EMS assisted the male into an ambulance.
- Police conducted a vehicle stop, which resulted in a passenger being found to have multiple warrants. The passenger was taken into custody.
- Police received a report of a theft of bicycle on Williams Street. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police located a wanted a male who held active warrants on North Third Street. He was subsequently taken into custody.
- Police responded to a “911 hang-up” call at a Daisy Street residence. Police found it to be an accidental call
- Police responded to a report of a suspicious male walking door-to-door on Ogden Avenue. Police made contact with the male and found he was soliciting. He was warned that he needed to obtain the proper permit.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report of a motorcycle theft March 21 on Wolf Run Road in Lawrence Township. According to police, the victim heard his motorcycle start and saw an unknown male ride away from his property on it. He said his former neighbor had shown interest in the motorcycle, and had also rented a U-Haul to travel across the country. Local and state police were alerted and troopers encountered the suspects in the back of an open U-Haul with the stolen motorcycle at an area hotel. They were taken into custody on charges of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
