CURWENSVILLE – Halloween is coming early to the Curwensville Lake Recreation Area.
On Oct. 10 Octoberfest hits the lake area. From 12-1 p.m. a pumpkin painting contest will be held, followed by judging. At 2 p.m. a piñata will be provided and at 3 p.m. a costume parade and judging will be held.
Beginning at 5 p.m. a pot-luck dinner will be held (bring a covered dish). Hamburgers, hot dogs and soda will be provided by the Curwensville Lake Authority. Winners will be announced for the best-decorated campground.
A haunted trail walk will begin at 7 p.m. on the Grandview Trail and ending at Pavilion 2. A hayride will be provided back to the campground. For those not wishing to go on the walk there will be a dance in the campground, with music by DJ Jack Oaks.
From 9-10 p.m. it will be trick or Trick or Treat night in the campground.
