CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Police Department warns area residents of a new phone scam.
According to the report, police stated that the scam involves a “Publisher’s Sweepstakes Contest.” They indicated that individuals are not only asked to provide credit card information, but also make a purchase.
Police remind residents that they should not provide any personal information over the phone.
