DUBOIS – Touch A Truck Day is back for the third year on Oct. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring kids of all ages to this free event at the DuBois Mall Parking Lot-Hampton Inn side.
There will be a display of ‘trucks’ and special vehicles of all kinds for everyone to explore-sit behind the wheel, honk the horn and pretend to drive. This opportunity to be ‘up close and personal’ with the vehicles they see every day is sure to be enjoyed by all who attend.
Check out the police and fire department vehicles, huge tri-axle trucks, a roller and skidder for paving, cement truck, an ice cream truck, the Rolling Radio, tractor-trailers, ambulance, limousine, trolley, bus, 4-wheeler, 30’ dump truck and more!
Even though this is a FREE event, we are asking children to bring a can of food for the area food pantry – children helping to feed other children. An adult must be present to accompany children as they enter the roped-off area for this “kid-citing’ and fun time. Event sponsors Glenn O. Hawbaker and the Greater DuBois Chamber urge everyone to attend and support the many businesses and companies taking their time to support the community. To participate with a vehicle or other questions, call the Chamber at 371-5010.
