State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report of theft of property Feb. 12 on Gary Lynn Drive in Pine Township. According to state police, information was received from the state Department of Conservation & Natural Resources that a log skidder was broken down and two individuals were claiming ownership. Further investigation revealed a 47-year-old Curwensville man, Jason Whitaker, allegedly sold the log skidder without the original owner’s permission or knowledge. Charges were filed through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Thursday on Jury Street in Bradford Township. As a result of a domestic, charges will be filed against a 65-year-old Bigler man.
- State police received a report about a theft Thursday on Chestnut Street in Decatur Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took approximately four, 2X6X12’s from under a tarp. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment Wednesday on Lingle Street in Osceola Mills Borough. During the incident, a 30-year-old Houtzdale woman and a 42-year-old Osceola Mills man allegedly got into a loud argument outside a residence for being annoyed by each other’s actions, which in turn annoyed other people in the area.
- State police received a report of theft March 13 on 28 RD in Gulich Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took items from a mailbox. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- State police received a report about a theft March 13 RD/Harley Drive in Gulich Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took something from a mailbox. The investigation is ongoing.
- State police reported an incident of DUI that occurred March 21 on Green Acre and Rockwood roads in Bigler Township. During a traffic stop, a 23-year-old Madera man was determined to be operating a vehicle while allegedly under the influence. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police reported a drug violation March 12 on Hardscrabble and Old Turnpike roads in Morris Township. During an incident, a 35-year-old Winburne man was allegedly found in possession of drugs and paraphernalia. Charges were filed through the district court.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report of access device fraud/theft on March 14-16 at Walmart, Kwik Fill, Puff Super Value and Wines & Spirits, Clearfield. During the incident, a 51-year-old Curwensville man allegedly stole a woman’s credit card and used it several times, totaling $558.93. The man was later identified as Greg Selner and following an interview, he was charged with access device fraud, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
