GRAMPIAN – Members of the Grampian Lions Club recently met to discuss changes to their upcoming spring events.
The annual Children’s Easter event will be a drive-thru festival, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., March 27 at the Grampian Cen-Clear Center. Members will staff stations and hand items to the driver for all children inside the vehicle. More detailed information will be released at a later date.
The annual pancake and sausage breakfast has been cancelled at this time.
Both event changes have been made, so the club remains in compliance with all Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and Lions Club COVID-19 guidelines. The club stated that health and safety are top priority while serving its community.
In other business, members learned the club received the 2021 Clearfield County Charitable Foundation grant in support of its sight and hearing project.
They also received thank you notes from the Grampian Ministerium Food Pantry and a local resident who’s undergoing eye surgery. Both received donations from the club.
Donations were also recently made by the club, which included to district governor projects, eyeglasses for a local resident, Bells Landing Quilters and Curwensville High School Echo Staff.
