DUBOIS – DuBois Central Catholic evened its season record at 6-6 Tuesday night in girls basketball with a 57-27 win over the visiting Curwensville Lady Tide squad.
The Lady Tide kept it somewhat close in the first half, and only trailed at intermission 26-17, with Curwensville having a 10-8 edge in the second quarter.
The Lady Cardinals turned up the heat on both ends of the floor in the third and fourth quarters, as it outscored Curwensville 31-10 to gain the victory.
It was the turnover total that doomed Curwensville, as they turned the ball over a total of 31 times in the contest.
Alyssa Bakaysa had 12 points to pace the Lady Tide offense.
DuBois Central Catholic was led by game high scorer Faith Jacob with 26 points while teammate Sophia Ginter chipped in with 10.
There was no junior varsity contest.
Next for the Lady Tide (3-5) will be a home game against Philipsburg-Osceola on Thursday night at Patton Hall.
