“Our traditional photo contests, with a specific theme and cash prizes for the photos with the most votes, have been very popular with visitors to our region and residents alike,” expressed John Straitiff, executive director Pennsylvania Great Outdoors Visitors Bureau.
“This year we have planned four traditional photo contests: Flavors of the Great Outdoors, Hometown Pride, Colors of Autumn and Winter Landscapes.
“These contests are a proven way for us to connect with the traveling public and for them to share the many wonderful things in Pennsylvania’s Great Outdoors region through their eyes.
“We are most excited about our new Summer Selfies Scavenger Hunt. It features six different scavenger hunts, Cook Forest, Cameron County, Clarion County, Elk County, Forest County and Jefferson County, with 10 selfie stops on each.
“With the popularity of posting selfies on social media and people participating in free scavenger hunts, we have combined both to give visitors something fun and inexpensive to do this Summer.
“Instead of cash prizes by votes for the Summer Selfies Scavenger Hunt, winners of each scavenger hunt will be randomly drawn from all entries received that completed the list of ten selfies. Winner will receive a $250 gift lodging certificate valid at any PAGO Lodging member.”
