HOUTZDALE – State police at Clearfield have identified the driver that struck a West Hannah Street residence Monday night in Houtzdale Borough.
According to an updated crash report, a Chevrolet Silverado driven by 35-year-old Nathaniel Toner of Houtzdale struck the residence at approximately 11:40 p.m.
The truck struck the front of the residence, causing substantial damage, state police say. Then, the driver reportedly backed up and continued traveling down state Route 53 without reporting the crash.
The homeowners also attempted to have the driver stop; the vehicle was later located at Toner’s residence and had obvious damage to the passenger/rear area.
Toner provided his vehicle information without incident, and state police were also assisted by a witness of a Walmart vehicle and the Houtzdale Car Wash.
State police have obtained video surveillance and charges are to be filed through the office of Magisterial District Judge James Glass.
