While conducting routine patrols, police came upon a suspicious vehicle parked behind Sapp Bros. Truck Stop. Upon investigation it was found that the two individuals in the vehicle, John R. McGonigal III, 36, and Bambi Miles, 42, both of Philipsburg were smoking methamphetamine. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of more drugs and paraphernalia. Both individuals were arrested and charges have been filed.
Police conducted a traffic stop along Hill and High Streets for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the driver, it was found that he had come from a known drug residence. A consent search was conducted and resulted in methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The male driver was also determined to be under the influence. He was taken to Penn Highlands Clearfield for a legal blood draw. Charges are pending.
