U.S. Rep. Glenn “GT” Thompson (REP-PA) has won his re-election bid to represent Pennsylvania’s 15th Congressional District for a seventh term.
Thompson won over Democratic opponent Robert M. Williams, who announced his concession Tuesday night on Twitter.
“I just spoke with Congressman Thompson and congratulated him on his victory tonight,” Williams tweeted. “Thank you everyone for your support.”
As of 11:51 p.m. Tuesday night, Thompson has 75.99 percent of the vote, or 223,403 votes. Thompson was first elected in 2008.
The 15th district is comprised of Armstrong, Butler, Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Clarion, Clearfield, Elk, Forest, Indiana, Jefferson, McKean, Venango and Warren counties.
