CLEARFIELD – A former DuBois man was sentenced to state prison Monday for not complying with a requirement to register with law enforcement.
Brian W. Hendrickson, 59, was convicted of involuntary sexual intercourse and corruption of minors in Bucks County in 1991, requiring him to register his address with authorities, according to court documents.
When police checked Hendrickson’s DuBois address on Jan. 21, the residence was unoccupied, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
Police had previously dealt with Hendrickson at that address in a drug investigation in September of 2019.
At that time, police had a warrant to search Hendrickson’s apartment on Robinson Street, according to a criminal complaint.
The search uncovered a fire safe containing six baggies of a white crystal substance, 11 baggies of a green leafy substance and other drug paraphernalia.
Hendrickson reportedly admitted to the officers that he was selling methamphetamine and marijuana.
During colloquy court on Monday, Hendrickson pleaded guilty to a felony count of failure to comply with registration as required, and was sentenced by Judge Fredric J. Ammerman to 27 months to 54 months in state prison.
In his second case, he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and was given a two to four years concurrent sentence.
