CLEARFIELD – Scott McCracken will close out the 2020 Corner Concert Season on Friday evening in Lower Witmer Park in downtown Clearfield. Music will get under way at 7 p.m. under the park’s gazebo.
Despite several concert cancellations and rainouts, this summer has been a “record success,” according to Steve Albert, organizer. He said the park was a more spacious venue, allowing concertgoers to social distance.
He thanked Clearfield Borough for allowing him to hold the popular community event throughout summer, adding he plans to keep the park as next year’s venue. “On average, our attendance doubled from previous years and donations were very generous.”
This year’s concerts raised funds for the Bob E. Day Memorial Scholarship Fund, and a donation will be made to the fund in the near future. He also thanked concert sponsors WOKW 102.9 FM and BioGraphics for their support.
