CLEARFIELD – As paving work continues on the DuBois Street bridge project, PennDOT expects to fully open Parkway Drive by the end of Friday, Sept. 11. The new bridge opened to traffic in late August but roadway paving and drainage work are on going. The DuBois Street end of Parkway Drive has been closed to traffic since the beginning of the bridge project in 2008
Once Parkway Drive is open on Friday, PennDOT will lift the detour that has been in place. All work on the job is weather dependent. Francis J. Palo, Inc. is contractor on the $3.8 million dollar project.
PennDOT reminds motorists to drive with caution in work zones, be alert for stopped or slowed traffic, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up. For more on information on roadway construction and maintenance operations, visit PennDOT’s Web site.
