Police assisted a motorist along E. Walnut St. who had locked their keys inside their vehicle.
Police responded to Weaver St for a report of a vehicle that was driving recklessly and had traveled off the roadway into yards. The driver then fled the scene. Police located the male along W. 5th St where police pursued him on foot. He was apprehended and found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
Police responded to a residence along S. 4th St for a female that was trespassing. Police spoke to the female who agreed to leave the residence.
Police responded to a business along Turnpike Ave for an alarm. Police found the building to be secure.
Police located three juveniles who were to be jumping off the Nichols St bridge into the shallow water below.
Police were called to E. Cherry St for a reported domestic between a male and female. Police arrived and found the individuals had left prior to police arriving on scene.
Police assisted Clearfield EMS along Leavy Ave for an elderly female that had fallen.
Sandy Township
At approximately 1:40 am a male dressed in all black entered Snappy’s on Bee Line Highway and went to the cooler to get a drink. When he went to pay for the drink, he handed the cashier a note demanding he empty the register, or he would harm him. The cashier did as requested, the suspect then left the store and ran south on Bee Line Highway. Officers from Sandy Township, DuBois City and Pennsylvania State Police searched the area, but were unable to locate the offender. If anyone was in the area around this time and saw anything, or has any information regarding this incident, please call the Sandy Township Police Department through Clearfield County Dispatch at 765-1533.
A Cayman Landing woman reported that her estranged boyfriend was driving a golf cart near her camp.
DuBois Mall Security reported a tractor trailer was making a U-turn on mall property when it struck a train indicator post, then left the scene. Minor damage reported.
Officers received a report of a tractor trailer that was turning around in the Pilot parking lot, and it hit two other trucks causing minor damage, then left the scene.
A 27 year old Clearfield woman entered Walmart after having been trespassed from the property for a previous retail theft. Charges pending.
A 26 year old Forest Ave woman reported someone poisoned her cat.
A 23 year old DuBois woman lost control of her vehicle on Clear Run Road near Game Lands Road causing it to role over and come to rest on it’s side in a wooded area. No injuries and moderate damage reported.
Officers found a 30 year old Indiana man dancing on the side of Maple Avenue. When speaking to the man they could detect the odor of alcohol. The man stated he had just moved to the area and had been drinking because he was upset and just needed to go for a walk. Officers escorted the man home and released him to a responsible party.
PSP Clearfield
State police investigated a report of a property dispute involving neighbors on Old Erie Pike. The accused had threatened to beat up the victims on several occasions. Harassment charges are pending.
State police responded to a disturbance on Main St. in Ramey Borough. Upon investigation the accused threatened a female with physical contact. Harassment charges are pending.
State police conducted a traffic stop on the Woodland Bigler Hwy. in Bradford Twp. The driver was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
State police are investigating an incident of someone scattering rubbish on private property along Bob Rd. in Jordan Twp. Unknown actor(s) placed a pool liner and used cat litter on the victim’s property. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Clearfield.
State police are investigating a case of ID theft in Cooper Twp. Unknown actor(s) attempted to open an online account with the Social Security Administration using the victim’s SSN. The investigation continues.
State police arrested Michael Weakland, 32, of Coalport for drug possession. The arrestee was contacted at his residence for an active arrest warrant. He was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Charges have been filed.
Lawrence Township
Police responded to the Riverside Motel for a report of a disturbance. Michael Pino, 45, of Clearfield had confronted another resident about the mowing of grass behind the hotel. Pino then struck the resident. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken to CCJ for a 48 hour detainer. Charges have been filed.
Police responded to a report of counterfeit money at Project Point of Light. Upon investigation a known female had attempted to pay for services with a counterfeit $100 bill. Charges are pending.
