CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners addressed several items of business at this week’s regular board meeting on Tuesday.
The commissioners:
- awarded the bid for the Graystone paving project to Glenn O. Hawbaker in the amount of $31,957.40 pending final review by the county solicitor.
- approved a copier maintenance agreement with Pirrello Enterprises.
- proclaimed April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. The commissioners also reminded the public that the county’s Department of Children & Youth Services is operating at full capacity amid the novel coronavirus pandemic. Because children are currently out of the purview of teachers and childcare workers, the commissioners urge people to remain vigilant and to report any possible cases of child abuse to authorities.
- proclaimed May as National Foster Care Month.
- approved the Family Reunification continuation application and pass-through agreement as well as the pass-through agreement for support for the Clearfield County Collaboration and Prevention Board.
- approved a 911 cooperation agreement to share costs for consulting services with several other counties.
- approved a one-year parking lease agreement for 22 spots off of Healey Avenue in Clearfield Borough.
- approved liquid fuel allocations to Pike Township ($5,505.91) and Westover Borough ($$3,000).
- approved one new employee hire, four employee transfers and two employee separations.
- approved the minutes from the March 24 meeting as presented by the chief clerk.
- approved the bills as presented by the Controller’s office.
- approved to schedule a voting board meeting for April 28, beginning at 10 a.m. Public comments can be submitted via e-mail to cccomm@clearfieldco.org; any received comments will be read into the record during the board meeting.
- approved the cancellation of the May 5 work session meeting.
