Police received a report about suspicious activity that occurred on Village Road while a male entered an elderly woman’s home. He asked if she had any antiques for sale.
Police responded to an alarm at the Discovery House on Airport Road. The alarm was accidently set off; officers cleared the scene without incident.
Police received a report about a possible fraud, which involved an out-of-state financial institution. A check had been cashed but hadn’t been credited to a township resident’s account.
Police reported the theft of a credit card from a vehicle while it was parked at the Lawrence Township Recreation Park. Officers cleared the scene without incident, as the individual found the credit card at a later time.
Police served subpoenas for upcoming legal action.

Police responded to an incident of retail theft at the Kwik Fill Store.
Police conducted an investigation into a case of forgery, theft, receiving stolen property, access device fraud, identity theft and criminal attempt. Charges were filed before Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland. A warrant was issued for 57-year-old Nancy Coudriet of Curwensville. She was taken into custody by the Lawrence Township Police Department. She was arraigned on the aforementioned charges; her bail was set at $50,000. Coudriet is in the Clearfield County Jail. Her preliminary hearing has been set for 9:30 a.m. Oct. 20.
Police responded to a burglary on Turnpike Avenue during which an unknown amount of change was allegedly removed from a residence. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Police would like to advise all residents to lock all doors and windows at their residence. Officers reported that there have been numerous amounts of thefts and burglaries in the Clearfield area. They also have reminded residents not to allow anyone inside their home who they don’t know. Also, they have advised residents not to provide anyone with personal information.
Police will be filing harassment charges against a Clearfield woman.
Police checked the welfare of a male at the Super 8 Motel. Officers were able to wake the male; he was found to be OK.
