State police at Clearfield
- State police conducted a traffic stop that resulted in a drug violation Jan. 4 in the area of Clover Hill Road and Clearfield-Woodland Highway in Bradford Township. During the stop, 37-year-old Thomas Lumadue of Mineral Springs was allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed through the district court.
- State police are investigating a burglary at a building, located off Old Route 322, in Decatur Township. Sometime between 3 p.m. Monday and 10:13 a.m. Tuesday, state police say someone broke in through a garage window. Once inside, they allegedly stole two Stihl MS250 chainsaws; a Stihl MS201T chainsaw; a Stihl 028 chainsaw; and a Stihl TS400 cutoff saw. The investigation is continuing at this time. Curwensville Borough
- Police responded to a business on State Street to assist a motorist with unlocking their vehicle.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft at a local business. According to the report, it involved three African-American females; the investigation is continuing at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
- Police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief to a vehicle at the Curwensville Commons. During the incident, someone allegedly broke the windshield of the victim’s vehicle.
- Police responded to a State Street business to assist a motorist with unlocking their vehicle.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with stopping a motorist in Curwensville Borough. The motorist had reportedly committed traffic offenses in the township.
- Police responded to a reported motor vehicle crash on Schofield Street. According to the report, a vehicle overturned onto its roof; no injuries occurred as a result of the crash.
- Police received a report about harassing phone calls at the Curwensville Commons. Police advised the resident to not answer phone calls from unrecognized contacts.
- Police received a report about a chair that had broken on the roadway in the area of State Street and Spila Road. Upon arrival, it was learned boards were covering portions of the roadway, which were then removed.
- Police attempted to stop a motorist for traffic violations when she advised her father was having a medical emergency. Emergency personnel assisted on-scene.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment; however, when contact was made with a female, she didn’t wish to press any charges and police didn’t observe any visible injuries.
