CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges for allegedly abusing his three-month-old son.
John Uceda-Drumm, 24, has been charged by Lawrence Township police with felony aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children, plus related misdemeanor offenses.
The charges stem from a report of child abuse made by Children, Youth & Family Service on Dec. 6, 2019, according to police.
Police say it was discovered the baby had multiple fractures in his right leg, and he was taken into foster care. Upon examination at UPMC Children’s Hospital, police say another fracture was discovered in the baby’s left leg as well as healing rib fractures.
The investigation revealed the baby’s father, Drumm, had allegedly grabbed the baby by his torso multiple times to the extent it fractured his ribs and “roughly” moved both legs while changing his diaper, which caused multiple fractures.
Drumm is currently housed in Clearfield County Jail.
