CLEARFIELD – The first annual “ Battle for the Spike” wrestling dual will be held this Friday, December 27, in the Arthur J. Weiss Gymnasium at the Clearfield Area High School. Youth wrestlers from Clearfield and DuBois will compete in the 16 match dual meet.
The winning team will receive the traveling “Battle for the Spike” trophy, a youth version of the varsity wrestling program’s “Battle for the Buck” trophy.
The inaugural event is slated to start at 6 pm. Admission to the event is free for students and just $3 for adults.
