State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about a motor vehicle theft that occurred sometime Nov. 25 in the area of Wilson and Clearfield streets in Wallaceton Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a Winburne man’s 2010 Chevrolet Camaro from a parking lot near the old Wallaceton School. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-857-3800.
Lawrence Township
- On Dec. 12, police received a report about an incident of criminal trespass in Lawrence Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered a vacant residence and removed several items without permission. Anyone with information is asked to contact township police.
Curwensville Borough
- Police assisted emergency personnel with a patient who was unconscious at the Snappy’s Convenience Store.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of fuel at a local business. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with an attempt to serve a Protection from Abuse order on a Curwensville resident. However, officers were unable to locate the individual.
- Police received a report about a large amount of money that was allegedly stolen from a local business.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft at an Ann Street residence. Police say the suspect was taken into custody for questioning. The investigation is continuing at this time.
- Police received a report about an incident of trespassing on Chestnut Street.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with an individual who was taken into custody on outstanding warrants through the Curwensville Borough police.
- Police assisted a state constable with the service of an eviction notice on Filbert Street.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a 16-year-old girl who ran away from a Hanes Drive residence on Saturday. According to police, they searched for the girl for several hours, and then received a tip that she was on a porch on Oklahoma Salem Road. Officers located the girl who was cold but not hurt, and she was returned home to her parents.
- On Saturday police were contacted by a woman who alleged that during an argument with her 22-year-old brother, he began to knock over furniture and break decorations in her home. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Saturday police were contacted by Petco employees who reported that a woman walked out of the store with a habitat cage for a hamster, which is valued at $37.99, without paying for it. They said she concealed it under her coat, and when they asked if she was going to pay, she said no and walked out. The investigation is continuing at this time.
- On Sunday police were contacted by a man who reported a minor motor vehicle crash at the Falls Creek Sheetz. No injuries occurred as a result, and the vehicles were driven from the scene.
- On Monday police were contacted by Wal-Mart employees who reported that a known male left the store with $850 worth of baby formula without paying for it. He allegedly returned and removed $279.70 worth of stereo equipment without paying. The investigation is continuing at this time.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle crash Monday in Sandy Township. According to police, a 28-year-old Falls Creek man lost control of his vehicle on slick roads in the area of Route 119 and Watson Highway, and subsequently crashed into a guardrail. He and his 23-year-old passenger were transported to Penn Highlands by ambulance, and their vehicle was towed from the scene.
