CLEARFIELD – Next week, the Clearfield school board will consider the renewal of the district’s employment contract with Business Administrator Sam Maney.
At Monday night’s committee meetings, Superintendent Terry Struble said the administration has recommended a new, five-year contract with Maney.
If approved, he said Maney’s new contract would be effective July 1, 2020. According to Struble, Maney’s salary would be $114,192 for 2020-21, and then would increase $2,500 annually after that.
Maney has been with the district for nearly 12 years, having been hired in July of 2008, according to previously-published GANT News reports.
Struble also reported that an agreement has been reached between Wal-Mart and the district regarding the property tax assessment of the store’s three parcels in Lawrence Township.
He said the board will be asked to consider approval of the settlement of the tax appeals in the amount of $958,900, the total assessed value applicable to the tax years of 2019 and 2020.
Struble and Maney said the district is still awaiting confirmation of some details, so more information will be made available at next week’s regular voting meeting.
